 Thank you for your email.

 Regarding the email you mentioned, I have already answered. ( Kindly find the email which I sent you at "2011-12-01 AM 9:49:09") As it was almost impossible to arrange another bias test, I strongly asked you to designated your surveyor. As you know, Mr. Kim from CCK(A.H.K) attended 2nd bias test.

 Kindly note that during the openning meeting, I informed all of surveyors that it was impossible to distribute the sample to them due to lack of sample-pairs and they agreed it. After that the test completed without any trouble and finally we got the good bias result.

 As you know it has already passed 2 months after completion of the 2nd bias test. During that period, we didn't get any request about the test from you and your surveyor. Therefore, I was embarrassed when you asked us to distribute sample or arrange another test. You can imagine that it will take another 1~2months to arrange that thing and await get the other result from your request.

 Kindly understand that we have to stop using our old port when we get the approval from customers to use new port facilities in the near future. If LS spends more time to take your request, we can not stop our old port during that period and it can be huge loss to LS-Nikko.

 We would like you to understand our current situation.

 Also, kindly note that the result of Cadia hill- test is really great, We believe that you can trust that our new port facilities are ready to use. (We strongly ask you to discuss this issue with the surveyor who attended test)

Many thanks for your email.

As Cadia Hill quality was the only parcel tested and as we have stated in previous emails (please check attached emails) we strongly request another test for a similar quality of Cerro Corona (High Au grade) in order to be sure that the results do not present any kind of bias. In this new test both set of samples, by truck and by automatic sampler, shall be sent to our surveyor.  Another option is to arrange a test with Cerro Corona quality for our next shipment during march.

Please let us know the options in order to arrange a new test and coordinate with our surveyor.

 Thank you very much for your email.

 Regarding the your request, I have already explained to all surveyors which attended the test.

 As for the Escondida test, it was the test for checking weigher.

 At that time, it was not needed to distribute the samples.

 Regarding the Caia test, we explained the followings;

 a. LS could make 10 pairs of samplet.

 b. As the truck sampling result should be used for commercial purpose, 8 of 10 samples should be distributed to the parties which had the commercial relationship for the cargo(LS, Seller_Trader, Mine, surveyor, reserve for the umpire..).

c. As the cargo was Trader portion, it was needed to get their agreement for distributing the sample to the other party.

d. As the number of samples was limited, we could not distribute the samples to all of our customers.

 We explained the above things to all of surveyors and we got their agreement not to distribute the samples.

We are still waiting for the report and final comments of our surveyor.

We would like to know if according to our request (please check the attached email dated Oct 25th) you sent both set of samples, by truck and by auto sampler, of Cadia Hill and Escondida qualities to our surveyor AHK in UK. According to the information received from AHK, they have not receive the samples yet.

As you know is very important for Gold Fields receive an accurate feedback of this process from our surveyor, and an important step of this analysis is the reception and analysis of the samples taken.

Shall be waiting for your confirmation.

 Regarding the bias test which we did last Dec by using Cadia Hill copper concentrate, we have exchanged the commercial assays with the trader today. Therefore, we kindly inform the results of bias test to all of the surveyors and customers as per followings; (We sent the details about this test to your surveyor)

 You know well, it is really urgent issue and we spent 2months for waiting exchange the Assays, we would like you to ask your surveyor to study it ASAP.
